Shy Enterprises Scam

Michigan workers.  Beware of Shy Enterprises, 717 W Ellsworth Rd, Ann Arbor (owner Larry Shy ).  Shy Enterprises is a lying pyramid scheme door to door sales SCAM.  Larry Shy posts fake jobs and lies about what job candidates will be doing.  The lies of job details isn’t so bad, but his refusal to pay employees for their time and scamming the Michigan unemployed while he makes money off their free labor is the real issue.  Promising Michigan workers a customer service job at an hourly rate, Shy Enterprises does not pay their workers what is promised.    You work a few days on the phones, then they switch your job, claiming they believe in you and want you to “move up into a better job”.  They won’t pay you for the first few days of phone work.

Call 734-389-0909. Tell them you heard they were hiring and ask them what you will be doing. They will lie to you about the job opportunity.  They will invite you into an interview for a customer service job, which they won’t pay you for.  Your first day of “customer service” is spent answering phone calls from people responding to the same ad you responded to.  There are 4 new people hired, scammed and not paid every day, they do the labor for Larry Shy.  Shy Enterprises hires anyone and they don’t do background checks.  So they send out potential felons door to door to sell vacuums.  The vacuums are sold using guilt tactics by pushy, desperate, potential felons, pushing their way into your home, starved of all hope by Larry, paid nothing, lied to, forced to work 15 hour days walking door to door and eventually end up quitting.  They aren’t paid for the time they worked there.  They promise you a bonus check on your first sale.  They won’t pay you that bonus check.  Even if you work for a full month and tough out the scam.. they will come up with another lie and another scam, to prevent you from being paid.  Don’t fall for it.  They have been reported many times to the Better Business Bureau.  It’s a surprise they are still in business.
